Install

Theme

I assume you’ve downloaded the file.

What to do next:

  1. Extract the downloaded file
  2. On the extracted folder you will get some files:
    dandelion-theme.zip – it is the installable WordPress theme file
    dandelion-child.zip – it is the child theme
    nadanora-widgets.zip – it is additional widget for theme
    Documentation.pdf – it is help/documentation file
  3. Log in to your WordPress website
  4. From the administration page, go to Appearance → Themes
  5. Click on Add New button at the top of the page
  6. Click on Upload Theme
  7. You will see upload form. Choose the installable WordPress theme file from the extracted folder then click Install Now
  8. Please wait until the installation finished and you can activate the theme
  9. Done

Plugins

This theme recommends some plugins to install: Metabox and Redux Framework.

How to install these plugins? Please follow the instructions below:

  1. After activating the theme, you will see notification. Click Begin installing plugins
  2. You will redirected into “Install Required Plugins” page. Tick all plugins and choose Install on “Bulk Actions” dropdown then click Apply
  3. Wait until installation finished and then click Return to Required Plugins Installer
  4. You will redirected into “Install Required Plugins” page. Tick all plugins and choose Activate on “Bulk Actions” dropdown, then click Apply
  5. Done

Nadanora Widgets

To install nadanora widgets please follow the steps above:

  1. You must already extract the downloaded file. Find file named nadanora-widgets.zip.
  2. Login to dashboard
  3. Click Plugins → Add New
  4. Click upload plugin
  5. Select the file (nadanora-widgets.zip)
  6. Click Install Now
  7. Now you can see Nadanora widgets on Admin → Appearance → Widgets

Navigation

Top Menu

This theme has only one menu location :

Primary menu – Appears on top navigation.

To setup navigation menu, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin
  2. From administration page, go to Appearance → Menus
  3. Create your first menu, enter the menu name on Menu Name field then click Create Menu
  4. Add menu items into the menu.
  5. There is a panel on the left of the page containing some sections: Pages, Posts, Custom Links, and Categories. You can expand & collapse each section. To add menu item, simple tick the menu item and click Add to menu
  6. After finished adding menu items, then assign menu item to its location (primary). Scroll down to the bottom of menu editor, then choose menu location on Menu Locations setting
  7. Done.

Posts Navigation

To setup posts navigation, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin

  2. From administration page, go to Appearance → Customize → General → Navigation Type
  3. Navigation to show “Next Post” & “Old Post”. Pagination to show post pagination in number.

Header

Blog

Frontpage

You can specify which layout is suitable for you by set up the frontpage
To setup frontpage, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin
  2. From administration page, go to Pages → Add new
  3. Select template on page attributes to “Frontpage”.
  4. After “Frontpage” is selected. Other options will appear. Those options are:
  5. Main slider configuration – To setup your main slider
  6. Category slider configuration – To setup slider below the main slider
  7. Post layout – Change your post layout on frontpage

  8. Sidebar position – Change your sidebar position
  9. Select post layout and choose the layout you want to. You can also change the sidebar position by select the Sidebar position.
  10. Dont forget to give the page title name (ex: my-frontpage).
  11. Click “Publish”

After publish your page, now go to Dashboard → Settings → Reading.

  • On “Front page displays” tick “A static page (select below)” radio button
    .
  • Select the page desired (ex: my-frontpage).
  • Click “Save Changes”.

Sidebar

You can specify which sidebar position is suitable for you. Sidebar is used for placing widgets.
To setup sidebar position, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin
  2. From administration page, go to Pages → All pages
  3. Click the post you set as front page.

  4. On sidebar position box, choose the sidebar position you want.
  5. Click update.

Slider

Main slider

Main slider used in front page to show selected post as slider.
To setup main slider, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin
  2. From administration page, go to Pages → All pages
  3. Click the post you set as front page. (Page attribute → Template must selected Frontpage)
  4. On main slider configuration box, choose “Enabled”.

  5. Setup other settings (order, slides to show, auto play and auto play interval).
  6. Click update.

Category Slider

Category slider used in front page below the main slider to show selected post category.
To setup main slider, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin
  2. From administration page, go to Pages → All pages
  3. Click the post you set as front page. (Page attribute → Template must selected Frontpage)
  4. On category slider configuration box, choose “Enabled”.

  5. Setup other settings (selected category, order, slides to show).
  6. Click update.

Customization

Font

To setup font and typography, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin
  2. From dashboard go to Theme options → Typography
  3. Heading typography used for title. Body typography used for every element except the title.

  4. Click “Save Changes”.

Color

To setup colors, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin
  2. From dashboard go to Appearance → Customize
  3. You will redirected into WordPress Theme Customizer page, please choose “General”
  4. Select primary color to change main color accent. Primary color hover used when cursor hovering primary color.

  5. Click “save”.

Social Media

Social Media URL

To setup social media links, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin
  2. From administration page, go to Appearance → Customize → Socials
  3. Write your social media url.

  4. Click save.

Instagram Feed

To setup instagram feed, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin
  2. From administration page, go to Appearance → Customize → Socials
  3. Write your Instagram username and photos to show

  4. Click save.

Footer

Copyright

To setup copyright, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin
  2. From administration page, go to Appearance → Customize → Footer
  3. Write your website copyright.

  4. Click save.
